This paper provides results from a series of focus groups with transgender Georgians about their experiences seeking and receiving health care and their awareness of the Affordable Care Act’s non-discrimination provisions; a survey of LGBT Georgians about their health care experiences; and features policy recommendations for federal and state policymakers, health systems and health care providers, and advocates to address identified barriers to care for transgender Georgians.
