State’s Employee Benefit Plan Council; council to establish health savings accounts

Requires the State Health Benefit Plan to include Health Savings Accounts


Creation of Georgians with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilties Innovation Commission

Creates the Georgians with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Innovation Commission for long-term strategic planning purposes around complex issues such as managed care, workforce wages and incentives, direct service provider career paths, transportation, housing, employment, systems management, innovation and technology processes, service delivery and technology innovations, planning list management, funds utilization, and other topics as needed


Health Care Practitioners Truth and Transparency Act

Prohibits licensed medical providers from using deceptive or misleading terms or false representations in advertisements and representations


Equity Impact Act

Requires OPB to work with the Department of Audits and the Department of Community Affairs to produce equity impact statements on all legislation that impacts health, housing, primary or secondary education, and tax policy.


Department of Community Health to provide children with 12 months of continuous eligibility for Medicaid and the PeachCare for Kids Program

Requires DCH to provide 12 months of continuous eligibility for kids enrolled in Medicaid or PeachCare for Kids


Insurance; prohibits insurers from discriminating against certain healthcare facilities and providers in connection with provider administered drugs

Prohibits insurers for not reimbursing contracted providers for medications administered by the provider


Pharmacies; authorize qualified pharmacy technicians to administer certain vaccines

Allows pharmacy technicians, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, to administer COVID-19 and other vaccines included in the CDC’s adult immunization schedule to adults 18 and older


Food Insecurity Eradication Act

To create the Georgia Food Security Advisory Council


Emergency Medical Services; hospital authorities may transfer its ambulance service license to its local governing body

To require hospital authorities may transfer its ambulance service license to its direct governing body


Mental health; grant program to aid service members, veterans, and their families

Requires DBHDD to set-up a grant program to provide behavioral health services to military service members, veterans, and their families.
