GHF kicked off the legislative session with state leaders and advocates at Health Care Unscrambled 2023! This breakfast event launched the Gold Dome's health care and public health conversations!
This year's event included a bi-partisan panel of state legislators who previewed legislation and issues that are likely to come up during this year's Gold Dome session. Our keynote speaker lended their expertise to the current health and health policy events in Georgia.

GHF welcomed three experts to our Health Care Unscrambled stage!
Georgians for a Healthy Future was excited to announce this year's Health Care Unscrambled keynote panel! Our featured discussion, Town & Country, examined the health care and public health experiences of rural and urban Georgians. Amid widening gaps in health access, workforce availability, and investment, rural and urban Georgians still share many health outcomes and experiences. Our three expert panelists weaved together their direct local observations and deep policy expertise to tell the stories of Georgians separated by geography and united by health priorities and needs.
This year's conversation featured three nationally-recognized experts who call Georgia home. HCU 2023 welcomed:
- Dr. Keisha Callins, OB/GYN, Community Health Care Systems and Joy McCann Endowed Professor with Mercer University School of Medicine
- Charlie Hayslett, award-winning journalist and public health communicator
- Dr. Dominic Mack, Director, National Center for Primary Care at Morehouse School of Medicine
