GHF's signature event happened this year with a virtual twist! This annual tradition provided a special opportunity for health advocates and stakeholders to hear from state policymakers about what they plan to tackle in the year ahead, to learn about emerging health policy issues from nationally-renowned experts, and to better understand the health experiences of Georgia consumers.

This year's program included three sessions on three dates:

• January 7  |  8:30 to 10 am  |  Politics, Possibilities & Policy
  In a two-part session, the morning began with a discussion about how the U.S. and Georgia's health policy landscapes will be shaped by the results of the 2020 elections. A second panel, made up of Georgia’s leading state legislators, discussed the outlook for the state budget & health-related legislation during the 2021 legislative session.
• January 8  |  8:30 to 10 am  |  In Their Own Words
  This roundtable discussion with Georgia consumers centered around the day-to-day experiences of families from across the state and explored the inseparable nature of health from work, education, transportation, social connectedness, and other social determinants of health.
• January 14  |  8:30 to 10 am  |  COVID-19 as a Change-maker
  This session examined the gaps in our understanding of health and equity exposed by COVID-19 and offered a reimagining of mental health, racial equity and well-being, and the role of health advocates in bringing about necessary changes.

Each session included interactive features, opportunities for small group networking between attendees, and opportunities to restore our own mental wellness.
