Public Health in Georgia

Public Health Banner copy

Our state's public health system and workforce is fundamental to the health and well-being of Georgians. Improving the health of all Georgians means placing an intentional focus on public health and prevention.

Georgians for a Healthy Future supports a strong public health system and the adoption of evidence-based practices that improve health outcomes. Our work in this area ranges from advocating for policies that will reduce smoking to providing education about the availability of preventive services to advocating for more investment in our state's public health infrastructure.

Keeping families covered not only includes Medicaid expansion, but addressing prevention and factors outside the normal health system. Investing in the overall health of Georgians creates a state where everybody can live their healthiest lives and reach their full potential. That’s why GHF and our partners are kicking off an initiative to support, invest, and rebuild public health in Georgia!
