GHF was excited to invite Dr. Georges C. Benjamin to be the guest speaker at Health Care Unscrambled 2022! Dr. Benjamin is the Executive Director of the American Public Health Association (APHA) since 2002 where he leads the Association’s efforts to make America the healthiest nation. He came to APHA from his position as Secretary of Health for the state of Maryland.
At Health Care Unscrambled, participants heard Dr. Benjamin's perspectives on rebuilding our public health systems following COVID-19; how to protect public health from politicization; and public health’s role in the elimination of racial and geographic health disparities. We were so pleased to welcome such a distinguished guest to HCU 2022!
This year, we were joined by an accomplished and bi-partisan panel of state legislators. Together, they answered your questions about the health policy issues that you care about most and discussed the issues they see as most pressing in 2022.
