Join Georgians for a Healthy Future on the third Wednesday in December for the Georgia Voices for Medicaid lunch and learn from noon - 12:45 pm. This will be an interactive session about Medicaid, developmental disabilities, and health advocacy. You will learn from Knetta Adkins, GHF's Organizing Manager, about who Medicaid covers, how Medicaid benefits the state, and how Georgians experiencing a developmental disability can engage in Medicaid advocacy.
This event is geared toward people with developmental disabilities and those that support them, professionals who work in human services, public health, and health care, and community members. You will also develop the skills needed to be an effective health care advocate and increase your knowledge of how to take part in health care decisions and issues that matter most you in Georgia.
