Set the ratio of on-site staff for personal care homes to one direct care staff member for every 15 residents during waking hours and 20 for night time for personal care homes with 25 or more beds. Also set the minimum to 2 staff members on site at all times, and a staff member assigned to each occupied floor; however, if a medical alert system is in place, staff members are allowed to leave the floor and move about the grounds.
