In the first part of this two-part session, a panel of state and national experts will explore how the U.S. and Georgia's health policy landscapes will be shaped by the results of the 2020 elections. We will preview federal health policy changes expected from President-elect Biden and the U.S. Congress, and examine how those policy changes and Georgia’s election results influence what is possible in our state.

In Their Own Words hands the microphone to the most important experts at Health Care Unscrambled: consumers! This roundtable discussion will kick off with a look at what the data says about the health and life experiences of Georgians and their families during 2020. Then moderator Andy Miller, editor of Georgia Health News, will interview consumers from across the state about their COVID-19 year. This interactive discussion will explore the inseparable nature of health, education, transportation, social connectedness, work, and other social determinants of health.
