Medicaid & PeachCare

Approximately 1.9 million Georgians have coverage through Medicaid or PeachCare for Kids. While most of those enrolled are children, some low-income parents and people with disabilities are also covered through Medicaid. Because of its essential role in serving children and vulnerable populations, Georgians for a Healthy Future supports policy measures that keep this program strong and able to deliver the medical services that its enrollees need to stay healthy.

The newest version of the ACA repeal bill still strips health care away from 560,000 Georgians, raises premiums in Georgia by an average of $3000+, and cuts our state's Medicaid program by $4 billion. There's new stuff in the bill too! Now it guts protections for people with pre-existing conditions, ends national standards on what health care services insurers have to cover, and ends the nation wide ban on annual & lifetime benefit caps.

The House of Representatives wants to vote on this bill tomorrow! Call your member of Congress NOW: 866-426-2631
