Georgians for a Healthy Future held a reception and fundraiser in March 2011 to support consumer health advocacy. Board Member Pat Nobbie emceed the event and Representatives Pat Gardner and Simone Bell spoke about health care legislation in the General Assembly, while Dean Phil Williams of the School of Public Health at the University of Georgia spoke about new legislation creating a standalone Department of Public Health in Georgia.
